Use cases and practical choices

Prepare interface screenshots, diagrams and transparent PNG assets for office attachments, shop instructions or sequential training illustrations. The dedicated input type keeps this workflow focused; use Image to PDF when source formats are mixed.

Combine PNG screenshots into PDF pages

Each PNG becomes one PDF page. Use original dimensions for screenshots or select A4 for printing. A transparent PNG is placed on a PDF page that normally appears white in a viewer. This page accepts PNG files; use the mixed-image tool for a combination of formats.

Convert PNG images to PDF online

  • Convert one PNG or many PNGs into a single PDF
  • Crop and watermark images before export
  • Choose original size or A4, portrait or landscape

How to convert PNG to PDF

  1. Select one or more PNG images and confirm they appear in the queue. This page accepts PNG only; use the mixed-image converter for photos and screenshots together.
  2. Set page order with the queue arrows; one image becomes one page. Use a file’s edit button to crop or watermark it in the dialog, then save the edit before continuing.
  3. Choose original dimensions or A4. Original dimensions use image pixel dimensions for PDF page sizing; A4 fits the image proportionally. For A4, choose automatic, portrait or landscape orientation and consider how long or wide content will shrink.
  4. Generate, download and check page count, order, edges and print preview. Source text remains an image rather than searchable OCR text, and originals are not overwritten.

PNG to PDF FAQ

When should I convert PNG images to PDF?

Use this page to organize interface screenshots, diagrams and transparent PNG assets into a document for sharing, filing or printing. Each image becomes one page; the converter does not detect chapters, create one long stitched image or turn pictured tables into spreadsheets. Prepare sequence and orientation before exporting.

How do original dimensions and A4 differ?

Original dimensions derive PDF page dimensions from image pixels and do not establish a physical paper measurement. A4 fits the image proportionally, leaving blank space when aspect ratios differ instead of stretching the picture. Printer settings can add further margins or scaling; inspect the final print preview.

What happens to transparency, text detail and edits?

Transparent PNG areas normally appear against the PDF viewer’s white page; they do not become independently editable objects. Conversion cannot restore low-resolution detail and performs no OCR. Obtain a clearer original for blurred text and use perspective correction first for angled paper photographs.

Why is page order unexpected or the PDF too large?

The queue controls output order; do not assume the operating system’s selection sequence or filename sort is the desired sequence. Check with the arrows and remove duplicates. Source resolution and image count affect size and memory use. Process in groups if necessary without sacrificing essential text readability.
